Recordings were made at 11th Pediatric ward of Provincial Specialist Hospital in Wrocław where we have spent (my father and I) 2 weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Movement inside the ward was strictly restricted. At our disposal we had only approx. 15 square meters or our room, a bathroom, a common kitchen with access limited to bare minimum and a treatment room next to ours, from where we were hearing children crying at any random time of day or night. We could see our loved ones only through the window on the 2nd floor.

On the album among other things you can here a singing drip machine, us playing cards, myself sneaking half-legally through the corridors, adjustment of a hospital bed, draft on a windy day, nurses doing their hard work or waiting for a sudden call or even an ambulance ride to another division for an examinaiton. But you need to guess wich is wich.
My dad did the cover. Not really my style, but it's kinda cool.

Helena is 13yo sound artist sensitive to all kinds of sounds. She practices field recordings since couple of years using her mobile phone. Suche Fakty is proud to release her debut album, recorded with MixPre3 and Usi Pro microphones in surprisingly difficult conditions given both peculiar hospital acoustic environment and extraordinary situation.
